Thank you for your interest in coaching with Chardon Youth Football. I applaud you for your commitment to our young student-athletes. Your efforts will ensure a successful season as you help mold our young people. Realize that there is no greater responsibility than taking a leadership position as a coach, mentor, and role model for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 12. Those years are riddled with physical, emotional, and intellectual changes and development. You have the opportunity to actively participate at one of the most important points in these children's lives. Don't take this role lightly, but enjoy the times you spend with your own children and those of the community this fall.

To be considered for a coaching position please register your child for the coming season, when asked if you wish to be a "Volunteer coach" select "yes" and fill in the required questions.

Coaches Requirements

1.    Have a Valid background check (good for 2 years)

b. The system is different from years past so a new account may be necessary

2.    Complete the Coaching Certification through USA Football

a.    Go to www.usafootball.com and register for the “Youth Certification for Contact Coaches” 
- if you are new you will need to take the Initial tackle certification. 

b.    Cost - $15.00

c.    This years classes are age specific so please select the one that best fits the division in which you are coaching

d.    Send a copy of your certification to [email protected]

e.    Time to Complete – A few hours so do procrastinate

3.        CPR/ AED Training (Typically good for 2 years)

a.    Go to American Health Academy at https://cpraedcourse.com/  

·   Select the course entitled “CPR/ AED Course”

·   Select Start Course

·   You will not be asked to register or pay until the course is completed

b.    When you have completed and passed the course, you have the option of printing a wallet card, PRINT THIS CARD and DOWNLOAD and save a copy for yourself and  send a copy to Chardon Youth Football

c.    Cost – $19.95

d.    Time to complete – 15-30 Minutes
